The town of Marl has got about 90.000 inhabitants and belogns to the rural - district Recklinghausen.
Marl is well known by its chemical industry - the photo shows the chemical park Marl -, by coal mining, but also by cultural aspects. The well known Grimme Preis (Grimme award) is placed in Marl.
