The orign of
the coal mining at the Ruhr we can find in the southern
Ruhr .- district. Our way through the Mutten valley passes
many proves of the early coal mining: The coal pit Nachtigall
(Nightinggale)tigall, the prayer - house of the coal miners,
and a lot of drift mines - entrances und very smal coal
mines.
